The Madelia Public Schools consist of two schools:
Madelia Elementary (Grades VPK-6) and Madelia High School (Grades 7-12). Our goal is to provide valuable information about our schools. Madelia is located on the Watonwan River in south central Minnesota. Located 100 miles southwest of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro area at the intersections of Minnesota Highway 15 and 60, Madelia is easily accessible from all parts of the state and midwest region.
Meghan Ward and Tara McCarron serve as the Title IX Coordinators, Human Rights Officers and 504 Coordinators for the Madelia School District. Ms. Ward can be contacted in person at Madelia High School, phoned at 507-642-3232 or emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org. Madelia School Board Meetings
Independent School District 837 is guided by a seven-member School Board that provides forward-thinking leadership to the Madelia Public School System. Members serve four-year terms and are elected by school district residents.
The Madelia School Board meets regularly at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in the Madelia High School Conference Room or the Madelia High School Cafeteria. Meetings are open to the public. If you have questions or concerns regarding the meetings, please contact Superintendent Shelly Bauer at 507-642-3232.
