MHS Speech Team Updates

The last three weekends Madelia has competed in 3 Mankato Speech Meets. Even with our small presence we have made huge improvements in our progress. In each meet we have had many of our students make it to finals. Each weekend we have competed against Mankato East, Mankato West, St. Clair, JWP, and many others. Our first weekend, we had one student make it to finals, Emma Coil, in discussion in 3rd place. The second weekend, we finaled two of our students Nathan Barbosa in 6th in Extemporaneous Reading and Holdyn Haberman in discussion. This last weekend we competed at Mankato East which consisted of 25 different teams. Although we were one of the smallest towns, we were honored to have one of our students make it to finals Elizabeth Karau in Dramatic Interpretation a 3rd place spot.
