I am thrilled to be the Madelia Elementary Principal. I highly value the vision and mission of Madelia Public Schools, including excellence for all, ensuring every student has the tools they need to pursue their dreams, and a collaborative approach to ensure student and family success.
My passion for people and education is a driving force behind my leadership. I firmly believe that building strong relationships is essential to the success of any district and school community. I look forward to working closely with students, families, and the community to build partnerships that support the best for students!
Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experiences in teaching and learning at both building and district levels. My roles as a first grade teacher, Reading Interventionist, Title I Coordinator, Instructional Coach, Teaching and Learning Coordinator, and Online School Director have each equipped me with a deep understanding of effective instructional practices and the ability to lead educational initiatives that enhance student achievement. I have always been eager to explore new and innovative ways to engage students and create a positive learning environment.
Above all, I am deeply committed to fostering relationships and creating a thriving educational community. I believe that every learner deserves to walk out of our schools with the knowledge and skills to become a successful and contributing citizen in a diverse global society. The crucial work needed to make that happen begins the minute they walk in our doors and we have an amazing team of educators to support high levels of learning!
