Veteran’s Day Celebrated at MHS and MES!
Madelia High School was honored to welcome our Veteran’s Day speaker, a 1992 graduate of Madelia High School, Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Robert Klinkner, who served in the Army National Guard with dedication and courage. Throughout his service, CSM Klinkner demonstrated a deep commitment to our nation’s values and freedoms, facing challenges that tested his resilience and strength. With a wealth of experience both in the field and as a mentor, CSM shared personal stories and reflections on the significance of service, sacrifice, and patriotism. We are grateful that CSM was with us to inspire our students and remind us all of the importance of honoring our veterans, whose sacrifices shaped the world we live in today.
Madelia Elementary students welcomed Veterans, their families, and community members to pay tribute to those who have served in celebration of Veterans’ Day. Students shared their appreciation and support through songs and sayings. This year’s theme was based on Madelia’s Veterans’ Memorial, with students sharing information about how it was started, including those who inspired and built the memorial to be what it is for the community today. Students and staff were honored to put on this event as a way to show our appreciation and support of Veterans for their service, bravery, and dedication.
