“Shark Tank” Presentations in Intro to Business Class
Mrs. Greiner’s Intro to Business students pitched their new business ideas to a group of local entrepreneurs. Our “Sharks” were Kelsey Cooling of True Real Estate, Nick Jose of Madelia Ford, Sarah Van Hale of Total Lawn Care, and Celia Simpson with the City of Madelia. For the past two weeks the students have been busy conducting research, developing a prototype, and preparing their marketing pitch.
The students were nervous, but each group did a fantastic job demonstrating knowledge of their product. All the Sharks left saying, “I wish these were real products!”
Here is a description of each product:
Golden Garden: A pot for houseplants that will send a notification to your phone alerting you to water your plant. There is also an LED light that will illuminate when the soil is dry.
Simple Storage Ideas: A slim, easy-to-carry storage system designed to help students keep their school items organized in one spot. It’s slim enough to fit in your backpack and customizable with sliding inserts.
ForkNife: A fork and knife all-in-one combo that helps cut your food and reduce the amount of dishes you have to clean. This tactical utensil will help people that only have one hand available to eat with.
Simple Lash Life: An eyelash curler that also applies your favorite mascara at one time. This tool was designed with ease of use in mind. Targeting newer makeup users and people with mobility issues, this tool will help mascara users of all ages!
