Highly Specialized Paraprofessional

Madelia Elementary School

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly skilled individual to provide intensive, one-on-one support for a student with complex developmental, behavioral, communication, and personal care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive, individualized support throughout the school day.
  • Implement specialized behavioral, communication, and sensory strategies.
  • Support personal care, daily living skills, and student independence.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to behavioral escalation and safety concerns.
  • Work closely with special education teachers and related-service professionals.

Experience supporting individuals with significant disabilities, complex behaviors, or intensive support needs is strongly preferred.

This position requires exceptional patience, flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
