Hi there! My name is Alayna De La Cruz, and I’m the new high school art teacher this year. This is my first year teaching in a school setting, and I couldn’t be more excited to be doing it in my hometown! Students will explore different media in my classroom, including ceramics, printmaking, photography, and much more. My hope is to share my passion for creating with students and help them believe that art is cool!
I graduated high school in 2019 from Madelia, then went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in 2023. Following my creative and adventurous heart, I moved to Germany for a year after college to work as a nanny. After returning home, I’ve been gaining new experiences working as a substitute teacher, summer camp counselor, and volleyball coach.
