Paul Lowry serves as the 7–12 Principal at Madelia Public Schools. With 27 years of
experience in education, he is dedicated to creating a school culture where students are
supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Mr. Lowry earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from Concordia
College in Moorhead, Minnesota, a Master of Science in Counseling and Human
Resource Development from South Dakota State University, and a Specialist Degree in
Educational Leadership.
Prior to joining Madelia Public Schools, Mr. Lowry spent his entire educational career at
Lac qui Parle Valley Schools, beginning in the fall of 1999. During his tenure, he served
as a social studies teacher, school counselor, Executive Director of Lac qui Parle Valley
Dollars for Scholars, and advisor for the Lac qui Parle Valley Chapter of the National
Honor Society. He also coached football, wrestling, and track while serving as the
school’s strength and conditioning coach. These diverse experiences have shaped his
belief that student success is built through strong relationships, high expectations, and
meaningful opportunities for growth both inside and outside the classroom.
As principal, Mr. Lowry believes that schools are strongest when students, families,
staff, and the community work together toward a common purpose. He is committed to
fostering a positive learning environment where students feel valued, staff members are
supported, and the community is a welcomed partner in education.
Outside of school, Mr. Lowry enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife,
Amanda, have been married since 2002 and are the proud parents of three children:
Elijah, Claire, and Gabriel. Their family also includes Millie, a German Wirehaired
Pointer who enjoys outdoor adventures just as much as they do. In his free time,
Mr. Lowry enjoys upland bird hunting, archery for whitetail deer, camping, mountain
biking, and canoeing. His passion for the outdoors reflects his appreciation for lifelong
learning, adventure, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Mr. Lowry is honored to serve the Madelia community and looks forward to building on
the proud traditions of Madelia Public Schools while working collaboratively to prepare
all students for success in school and beyond.
